Wow—what a transformation!  It’s hard to believe that we have gone from 3 vitreous china Belfast sinks in 1894 to Corian work surfaces, underslung sink, Britannia range cooker and German engineered Alno kitchen for 21st Century living.  Encompassing new structural steel frame to give flexibility in design and maximum light.

Extensive internal alterations to create better circulation throughout the home, increased insulation, full renovation and upgrade of all services, bathrooms, kitchen, TV and data installation, central heating, underfloor heating, glazed mezzanine, new central stair core and all completed with feature wood burning stove.

As part of an extensive renovation of a traditional sandstone villa we carried out a sympathetic restoration of this master bedroom involving parquet flooring, period fireplace and hearth, cornicing repairs, replacement windows, cleaning and remounting of velvet trimmed mirror, full decoration and restoration of original chandelier.

During the extensive refurbishment of this villa it became apparent that the structure of the rear outbuilding/kitchen was in a dilapidated state.  The Architect, Client and Sterling worked closely together to reinstate above ground floor level in a steel frame construction, for speed, lightweight external wall and extensive roof and wall glazing.  The final design incorporated a stone seat/planter patio area.

How style and trends change!  Who remembers the turquoise and avocado bathroom suites?  This bathroom was transformed incorporating Villeroy & Boch showering bath, wall hung vanity storage/wash hand basin and wall hung WC and Geberit frame.
